Dr. Ashley Prasad was born and raised in Queens, New York. Her journey into optometry began after earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, where she discovered her passion for eye care while working as an optometric technician.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry and went on to complete a residency at the Orlando VA Healthcare System. Her advanced clinical training focused on geriatric primary care, with sub-specialty training in specialty contact lenses, low vision, and the visual needs of patients with traumatic brain injuries. Through her training, Dr. Prasad developed a strong appreciation for comprehensive eye care and the importance of tailoring each patient’s care to their individual visual and ocular health needs.
Dr. Prasad is committed to providing thoughtful, comprehensive, and patient-centered care while building lasting relationships with the individuals and families she serves.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Prasad loves being outdoors—whether that means going for a run or spending a relaxing day at the beach. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family and close friends, and loves quiet evenings at home with a good book.
